VIP Blood
Hey volunteers,
VIP Blood is looking for volunteers to help get the word out about our upcoming March blood drive! The drive itself is the week after we return from break (more details to come if you're interested in volunteering at the drive itself or would like to donate blood), but we'd love to get a head start by putting some posters up later this week.
If you would like to help out and be entered into a raffle to win FOOD GIFT CARDS, reply to this email and let me know any time that you would be able to meet at the Union to grab some posters to put up in class buildings, dorms, restaurants, the ARC, etc. If you're too busy before break but would like to help put up posters or chalk the Quad when we get back, that's great too!
Email blood.pr@gmail.com for any questions and concerns

There only 2 weeks left until the TUNNEL OF OPPRESSION event!
It will be a great opportunity for everyone to learn about the different oppressions that are going around on campus and off campus.
PLEASE SIGN UP SOON!
Tunnel of Oppression: You can attend, volunteer, or do both! April 1-4, 2013
Professional staff members in the Office of Residential Life, in collaboration with various campus partners and students would like to extend to you an opportunity to participate in the Tunnel of Oppression. The Tunnel of Oppression is intended to be an opportunity for students of various identities and backgrounds to both share and experience the lives of other student identities around them. Rather than hearing about the daily oppression and aggression that non-majority identities face, participants will live out that experience through skits, role-plays, video, and sound. It will be a full and living sensory experience, one that is intended to be both raw and honest. LGBTindividuals, Black/African-Americans, Disabled students, and I-SPARC which is a group dedicated to social justice will be among the featured identities.
In addition to the experience of these identities, students would also take time after touring the Tunnel to debrief with a trained facilitator. Staff will debrief so that students can walk away having resolved some of their feelings and emotions after the experience. Just as real oppression is traumatizing, the in-your-face simulation of it will shock and unnerve students. The debriefing will provide students with concrete ideas for how they can help alleviate oppression around them, and react appropriately to what they’ve just experienced.
Students interested in volunteering on the day off can sign up at: http://www.doodle.com/ 2g42htqrxzqmuxrx
If you are interested in just attending the event, it will be held in the SDRP on April 2 and 3 in 2025 Multipurpose Rooms A, B, C from 4-8pm.
